The lovely Shailene Woodley has been chosen to sit as juror in one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world: the Tribeca Film Festival.

The young actress is going to sit with some 50 other jurors, which includes Dakota Fanning, Olivia Wilde, Brett Ratner, Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson.

The panel typically includes film critics, filmmakers, actors, creative executives and even restauranteurs. This year is definitely a mix of personalities as the panel is composed of mainstream film people, indie artists, museum trustees, and even Justin Beiber’s manager.

Their job as juror is to pick and award the best of the festival. The winners stand to receive over $250,000 worth of prizes in cash and other incentives.

The Tribeca Film Festival is a yearly event in New York’s lower Manhattan. This year, the event opens on April 29th and the awards ceremony will be hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.

Shailene Woodley is joining as juror for the Documentary and Student Short Film Competitions.

The Secret Life’s Ben, who is probably the most happy go lucky character on the show, and who doesn’t seem to have any regard for responsibilities, has turned a new leaf and is, in fact a changed man.

The latest news is that Shailene Woodley has picked the next movie she is going to star in. The actress has chosen “The Spectacular Now” for her next project andthe movie will be directed by James Ponsoldt with Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber as the scribes.

“The Spectacular Now” is an adaptation of a novel written by Tim Tharp with Shailene playing the role of a teenager who is convinces an alcoholic high school senior’s attitude about “living for the moment” may not be all that is worth it.
